Gallery Statement Established in 2001 as Heather Marx Gallery, Marx & Zavattero exhibits the work of contemporary emerging and mid-career artists who work in a range of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, and photography. The gallery mounts up to eight solo and curated group exhibitions annually, occasionally incorporating outside writers, curators, and collectors in order to encourage a stimulating and fresh dialogue on contemporary art. In addition, gallery artists are often invited to collaborate with outside institutions on group and solo exhibitions. The gallery is committed to fostering solid relationships with museum and private curators, other contemporary galleries, established and emerging collectors, and the art press in an effort to promote and develop gallery artists worldwide. Our participation in numerous national and international contemporary art fairs each year is a major facet of this commitment.
